PHATFISH PLAYING LIVE
HISTORY/
2001-2003/
At the beginning of 2001, after seeing many people encountering God in their concerts, Phatfish recorded the landmark album Heavenbound. This collection of now classic Phatfish songs had a recurring theme of Heaven and our future with God. Heavenbound shot to best seller status and received rave reviews from critics. The band toured hard in the autumn of 2001, taking this poignant message to thousands in the UK and Canada.

In the summer of 2001 the band had performed an 'impromptu' unplugged gig on a side stage at Stoneleigh Bible Week. It was such a hit that three unplugged gigs were booked for January 2002 to raise money for AIDS orphans in Africa through an organization called Hope HIV. Special guests Stuart Townend, Kate Simmonds and Brian Houston joined Phatfish for the sell-out gigs that raised £9,500 and the album (Hope) and DVD (There Is A Day) capture the wonderful atmosphere.

In November 2002, the band embarked on The Truth Tour; a series of concerts around the UK using specially written songs with the theme of living by God’s truth. The tour involved much bigger multi-media style production in larger venues with thousands attending and meeting with God.

Nothing But the Truth was released in May 2003. During May and June, Phatfish hit the road with The Truth Tour travelling to Eastern Canada and across the UK. A busy summer followed with gigs and worship leading dates at Spring Harvest, New Wine, Soul Survivor and Festival Manchester.
